Yea, pure speculation on my part. FDC may have made overtures before, but that was when they thought they would dominate electronic payment the way they did card processing. They're probably not as cocky now, and might be willing to pay more. Again, just idle thoughts.

Actually, Some stuff that I have read in the past suggested that FDC was not enthused about the negative cash flow from MSFDC and was only a moderately willing contributor (in terms of dollars) to the venture.
