Equalizzer, I have pasted the bulk of the text of an email reply I received several days ago. It is signed Jeffrey Kramer the COO of NVMH. It is in regard to the query I put to them about timber conservation, reforrestation and ecology. Have a read. It is not as complete as I would really like. I hope they take my suggestion of putting information about this topic on their WWW site. I offered to post to SI when such information exists online. "We received your e-mail dated July 16, 1998 and wish to inform you that from the onset of our company's timber operations, the company retained Eco-Rating International in order to build an ecological approach to our timber operations in South America. Further, we comply with all requirements currently in effect under IBAMA which is the monitoring service for the Brazilian government. As well, under our distribution and management agreement with Metsa Timber dated March 11, 1998, a more comprehensive long-term model for sustainable forestry is in development. Our goal is to achieve a fully sustainable operation and diligently work toward that goal which has been used in Northern Europe for a good many years. There are additional obstacles still to overcome but what we seek to achieve is clear both to the local community in Brazil as well as to our investing public . We welcome the opportunity to discuss this or any other issue at your convenience. Sincerely, Jeffrey Kramer Nevada Manhattan Mining Inc. Chief Operating Officer" As you can see, he seems willing to discuss in more depth. I would encourage any who want more information about any topics to give him a call. I don't have more time to pursue this at the moment. Stay in the Black! jimS
