There are a lot of people, (like me) who stay with AOL because
1.Conservitism: we are there, its too much effort to change
2. "Buddies" on instant mail, I have about 25 dance partners on AOL I talk to every week, live, that I could not do as easily otherwise.
3. reliability: I don't have any problems with the service, why go looking for them?
I have a son-in-law, a EE, who can't imagine why anyone would use AOL. I bet a lot of the "shorts" out there are like him.
