I guess, I would say: If there's only a bid for 200 shares, and therefore no outlet for SOES, I would take it to Instinet to see whats out there, or (for registered reps, only) contact a MM and try to negotiate an ACT trade. Maybe see if there were any buyers on AutEX or Bridge.
But these aren't typical amenities available for daytraders, I guess.
I agree - it will most definately change the daytrading landscape, but daytrading as a profession will remain. Maybe more people will turn to listed trading - even though thats a different ballgame, as well.
