so lets look at the parts of this company

INTRANET- they will set one up to connect brokerage houses, institutions, mutual funds and other investors
they can set an intranet up for any customer, a extremely fast growing sector. siemens is a partner on the proprietary software.
INTERNET-they will connect mutual funds and others to the individual investor so they can tout there stock. they have agreement with comstock so u can come to FNTN internet site to potentially get realtime quotes, level 2 screens etc if u are a member. of course the internet is the hot sector right now
PAGER-very fast growing segment with idb to transmit info to the public...big institutions can let all their investors know of news immediately...if u are a member of course
TELECOM-they operate and sell minutes already, WORLDCOM seems to be their backbone...wonder if they have their own switch and if they will go into internet telephony(another rapidly emerging sector)

wow,amazing and all for .66
and about to launch within a month

Wow! RandumOne, you have managed to explain all of this very well in layman's terms, with a neat thumbnail sketch of the whole sophisticated Intranet concept in a nutshell.

As for the plug and play analogy: Whilst this may oversimplify some of the complexities involved in setting up, connecting and coordinating vast and farflung Intranets, it could be an appropriate way to describe the possible implications of some of the breakthroughs FNTN may have managed to make and other shortcuts they may have accomplished in terms of economies of scale and ease of installation.

I would speculate, that FNTN may well have created a kind of unique, high powered proxy (Server) that essentially performs such tasks, economically, relatively easily and if they can do this in record time, would truly replicate the plug and play idea.

As for being heroes, we'll all be heroes the day this stock exceeds $5 and graduates to its rightful presence on SI and we're all still long up to our eyeballs with more ahead!

Your initial posts are insightful and already of great value to all

The first of many, we hope
