I say that under the assumption that he would receive interest on his loan and some sort of preferred stock. Otherwise, lots of banks would lend $5 million against $2 million in collateral and a personal guarantee. The personal guarantee has to be good, and I have no idea what Robert Gordons net worth is. If it is substantial, a few million or better, I have no problem believing it is a straight market interest loan.
