><>...How peaceful it has been around here this evening!...><>

All praise and Honor and glory be to God!

Ps 8:1-9
1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
2 From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet:
7 all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field,
8 the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.
9 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Thank you dear Father for your most treasured Word.
Shalom...><>

<< The CA. legislature announced that it will no longer supplement any food to the hungry people at soup kitchens in the state of CA. The singled out soup kitchens which will no longer receive any supplemented food are those which say prayers to thank God for their food, ...and... ask Him to help them out of their dire situations. >>

Aren't you distorting things Shalom? I didn't even know soup kitchens could pray. I thought only people could pray. Those that run the soup kitchens are probably coercing those in need of food to pray, or they don't get the meal, isn't that it? Sort of like not giving the bone to the dog until it does your trick. Can't you see how dehumanizing that is? I am certain there would be no fuss if the person receiving the meal said a silent prayer giving thanks, as your Bible instructs. The difference is that the person is making the choice to pray on his own. Is this another example of voluntary prayer?
