Kevin Kevin, Your a Trial Memeber too.

Did I mention I was going for the world record of people reminding me of this? Thanks!

"Cult Stock" - any stock which has gathered a following to the extent that business fundamentals and even threats to the corp. do not scare off the investor.

Okay, let's look at a few fundamentals, then. Let's see, gross margins over 90%, net margins over 30%, about $10B cash as of the new year, sales increasing by 28% a year, oh yes, how could I have been so blind, this is obviously a company in trouble.

Threats. Well, that is the big question, now isn't it. Will Reno turn Redmond into Waco or won't she? I guess that's more or less where you gotta place your bets. Then again, the last company that got run through the wringer was AT&T. From what I recall, the shareholders who came out the other side made out rather well in the long term.

As for not making friends by my postings. Lets just clear the air here. Who started the flaming and insults. Not me. You little buddie did.

My little buddy? I didn't see Gilligan on this thread. Oh, you're assuming I know any of the people you're warring with. Sorry. I just saw someone making what appeared to someone throwing blanket aspersions on anyone who might be long MSFT. I just thought that might explain why you feel you are coming under attack from all sides.

Jan 2000 - my prediction is in the $80-$95 range.

Hmm. You made it sound so much worse. So even you think that from where I bought it last month, I only have about $5 downside risk. That's great news, thanks!

Now your turn. Whats your prediction for the same timeframe and why?

Well, now I'm not the one who's been going around tossing around prophecies of doom (or glory) and snorting at every dissenting voice, but since you asked, I'll say, let see's 28% sales growth per year times 1 1/2 years... call it $170. Okay?

ToySoldier,

For once I finally and totally agree with you! I also predict with very little doubt in my mind that Microsoft stock will be in that range on Jan 2000. Good call!!!

Ed

PS. Oh, by the way, didn't you forget to mention the 2-1 stock split that should occur early next year?
