It would appear so, they earned what $.52/share? for this just finished quarter, I dont know what the forward P/E is on them.
Nothing to do but waait till monday, with today being OE day, we may get some rebound monday, but at this point I'm just guessing. At any rate for someone who opens a position in LSI now below 23, I'm guessing (and even some of the others on the thd have put a number on it as $20) the downside is only less than 10%, whereas the 12 month upside per Gruntal is 74% (based on $40 target), even if I have to sit out 1 more quarter its still a good investment IMO. FWIW I bought more today at 23 (too early on the trigger) and 22 3/4, now my average price is 23 1/8.

By the way FUZFO, Adaptec is currently selling at 1.9 time sales. Of course ADPT has a large percentage of SCSI business. Thus, the price LSI paid for Symbios at 1.2 times sales was an outright steal. And the majority of the premier analysts such as Tom Kurlak and Mark Edelstone applauded the purchase. The few analysts who derided the purchase were not affiliated with any major brokerage. Q Logic is selling at 5.1 times sales, which is impressive given that such a small percentage of their business is still in Fibre Channel. What is your risk reward ratio over the next year? My honest best guess is that LSI has a downside of 19 and an upside of 50. We shall see.
