The reason I asked was because I read (on this thread i think) that it was difficult to sell more than 10k shares without driving the price down.

Tweaker:

this may be so for a stock that has a thin float but DELL is one of the most liquid stocks I would think. As for driving the price down when one trades over 10K, this might be false as well since Dell's average Vol is +15 million share or so. Now if one wants to trade over a million shares or something then what you heard might be true.
