Again you have proven that there is an example for any given scenario, but finding that given example does not mean that DELL will perform in that way!

You are correct that YHOO has performed very well when compared to DELL for the life of YHOO, but YHOO has had a very short life in comparison. I choose DELL over YHOO because there is a 'real' product (hardware) in DELLs case and a 'concept' in YHOOs case. IMHO, conceptual ideas are harder to 'protect' than 'real' products. (ie I have something I can put my 'hand on' versus something that I 'look at'!)

Even may of the examples that you listed, there was money made, just not as much as would have been mad it the investors had exited at the top.
