And the market continues to over react.

I visited the ESI Semicon booths at both SF and SJ. It was good to talk about the progress being made in yield repair. This is a killer machine. They have some new versions coming out shortly to handle finer line widths.

The most interesting thing is the use of lasers to repair all kinds of products. The large share of sales go for DRAM, but clearly they are selling for other kinds of devices.

Do you know whether they have a laser configuration that wil work with copper? It's the buzz now. I see where AMD and Motorola are sharing technology. Goal to get AMD's K processors in copper and for MOT to get embedded Flash into their chips. I didn't understand if they would be using copper for flash or not.

Anyway, all these embedded applications will need these machines.

Seems like they'll have trouble with Vision. One thing I learned is that there are a lot of companies competing with K&S. They all have different integrated vision systems from in house to third parties. K&S will have to work hard.

I didn't see any capacitor equipment. Still looks like there are troubles with Capacitor makes. Kemet reported a lack luster quarter. Some of this is du to rising materials costs, but basically....

Wish good products meant a high stock price.

Regards,

Mark
