Considering the mixed report last nite the stock performed well today. I think this bodes well for the future and can be partially attributed to the more open policy with Wall Street that the interim CEO has initiated. It becomes increasingly clear that KE stayed too long and that the company probably would be in better shape today if Edwards had moved on in the middle of 1997.

On a related note I was in Best Buy this afternoon and they had two pallet displays of Zip products. A starter kit promotion for $199. and Zip 10 paks for $99., the disks seemed to be moving well, sold a 10 pak in the 5 minutes I was in the store.

Do you really believe IOM will see $7 when the same Quote screen will also reveal a PE 350 starting next week? And this, for a shrinking revenue company with a questionable future in a very unattractive sector?

Just wait till the Nomai, rebate, and other operational charges are taken. They can't be put off forever. And IOM's fundamentals will look very bleak. Even bleaker than now.

Don't forget, Iomega admitted in the Conference Call that they were selling OEM Zips at a loss. "Negative Gross Margins" for OEM Zip drives. And they are selling more and more of these, and less and less of retail.
