Damn. Just as my futurist projections leave the keyboard...

I'm adding a line to the tee shirt:
NO I will not tolerate acts of God interfering with the timeline!

As you said, Tomato Man: "From your mouth to God's ears."

M.

ps. Who was running the backhoe?

Wiz: Thanks for the post informing us of the site delay (https://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=5234817). I have a few questions which you may be able to answer from your conversation with Michael Sheppard, or you may know from experience.
1.) Why would high speed modems be "incinerated" by the severing of fiberoptic lines? Hardware damage is usually caused by AC level fluctuations or extreme conditions such as lightning strikes.
2.) Is the fiberoptic interruption a localized problem (building or neighborhood) or regional? I can understand how the cutting of fiberoptic lines in the middle of communications (especially critical downloads) could cause many hours of delay. Generally however, down fiberoptic lines get re-routed by phone companies within minutes or hours unless of course, this is a problem isolated to FNTN's location.
3.) Why didn't the firewalls offer protection from the fiberoptic interruptions?
4.) What is their current estimate for site activation (hours, days, weeks)? Your post could have been interpreted as being bleaker than it may actually be.
Thanks,

Wally

Perhaps misfortune turned to good fortune. Any before fielding problems result in safeguards for the fielding. If this gives our folks
a heads up about a potential disaster when things are running, and they can build a safeguard on it, then I say this was a blessing in disguise. IMO.

FNTN - charts

I have updated 3 charts involving FNTN on my web space thru
the date of 7/17/98.

FNTN with 12 DMA and 60 DMA.

FNTN with volume. - I have added some trendlines to show the formation
of "banners". Wanting to confirm what I had seen in this chart, I ask
the guru (Doug R) of the 56 thread what his opinion was. His reply:

exchange2000.com

Note the volume was down today, yet the price rose. I do not know what
to think of this yet. More study required on my part.

FNTN with stochastic 13,8,8, Bollinger bands, adx(blue),PDI(green),mdi(red)

The link is topher.net

The links to the FNTN charts are midway thru page.

Hope this helps

Collin
