You probably already know this but what the heck in case you didn't know, don't buy the stock at the open.

As for price in 3-5 years, heck I don't even know what it will be Monday.<gg>

If your horizon is 3-5 years, IMO do not hesitate to buy!

jon and all the other folks thinking about getting into DELL,
This is all personal opinion, so take it as such.
I have been a DELL stock holder since late 1995 or so.
In my daughters name, the shares first bought now have a basis under $5.00.
Every day I own a stock, I make the decision, if I had $XXX dollars, would I buy this stock today. If I wouldn't buy a stock at the current price then it is time for me to sell it. Simple strategy, but that is how I work. I have consistently decided that I would buy DELL at all of the previously thought of high prices that it has had. Often, when I had some extra money, I did in fact buy DELL, not just decide that it was OK to not sell it. The tax issue is moot for me since the majority of my holdings are in an IRA other than those original shares I bought for my daughter. By the way, her college is set, and probably her first house. (she is only 11). Based on my experience alone, I suggest that any time is a good time to buy DELL. You may have the shares drop by as much as 20 % some day. Even the day after you buy. You may have to endure a period of time when you feel FOOLish that you paid so much for your DELL shares when others got them so much cheaper some days, weeks or even months later. HOWEVER, over a long time horizon like you have (3-5 years) and given the significantly strong fundamentals on this stock, the honesty and integrity of the management team, the competitive position of DELL, and the other factors described so well by others in the last 50000+ posts (which if you have the time make great reading), I can do no less than encourage anyone I consider a loved one or friend to buy shares in DELL Computer. You will feel DELLish for a long long time.

Craig
very DELLish
