El, I figure over 25,000,000 shares of Compaq got called this week. That is a very conservative estimate. I didn't really get to watch the market for the last three days. A lot of share holders gave up their stock. A lot of new stock holders that sold for a fast buck. The market price didn't slide back below 32.5 today under that pressure. That is impressive. Look for more of those shares to be sold Monday and Tuesday. Don't think it will be a big impact at this point. Read the 300 posts I was behind on. The inventory problem seems to have a life of it's own at this point. Too good a story to die, or is there still fire under the smoke cloud? Wow, we can't shift gears from a box maker to an IT enterprise organization type of analysis. Wonder if we know enough? Wonder if it is just more comfortable to compare ourselves to box makers. It is a more simple task. Perhaps we know we can beat them in the long run. Perhaps we are afraid to compare our strategies with an IBM. Maybe we don't know enough about IBM to make any meaningful comparisons. Hmmm, just some thoughts to sleep on. Gotta play third match in third flight tomorrow. Tough match. Hope I get lucky! NW
