Yale reverses decision, endorses Macs. via MacCentral >Many remember the infamous letter that Dan Updegrove wrote to incoming freshman, essentially barring them from purchasing Macs. According to the Rumpus, a Yale newsletter, Updegrove's previous employer (The University of Pennsylvania) wrote these words to describe him: "Decisions are based on enhancing self image. No vision for the future. Abusive treatment of staff members. Inappropriate use of University funds and resources."< maccentral.com IMO, this is a big deal.

"Not that I'm ware of. Apparently Apple had different groups working on small pieces of the whole, so only a few knew what the big picture was." Quite a few people inside and outside Apple knew about it for quite some time. One of my coworkers was shown it in October. Andrew Stone of Stone Design was shown it at that time as well. Meetings with Apple people are very different now than they were before Jobs came on board. It's frustrating because you can get hardly anything out of anyone, but at the same time it's a refreshing change from the constant blabbing of the past.
