Peter V, There is a market for the Colormate, limited to infants in the first two weeks of life, not very big but significant for this company. www3.techstocks.com www3.techstocks.com The technology does work (my opinion from my readings and the New Orleans presentations, both CCSI and SPRX), the FDA approval is a very strong indication that it does work. Further tinkering and refining? I do not know, but for the FDA approved device I do not think so. Hand held vs a big unit, not a big problem for the bigger hospital market, maybe a problem for the smaller outpatient market www3.techstocks.com I will not rely on Asensio regarding the technology.

I don't believe that maisels left the impression you indicate that *further testing is needed before the device can be relied upon.* I believe he said the device works but standard procedures would demand parallel usage of both the device and the existing heel sticks would be the prudent way to proceed. He also said something to the effect that he forsaw that the "device" would easily be used as a replacement for heel sticks in the future. Please don't continue the distortion of the meaning of the good doctors words. by the way there is a very solid reason for the current lack of an agreement. I sincerely believe that there will be an agreement. Hopefully soon.
