Bernie, LGND still has much more technology than they can develop on their own. I expect more deals and more equity positions. Some studies suggest that a single drug costs $300 million to bring it to market .

By then end of next year LGND will have 5 drugs on the market and about double that number in the clinic. 15 X $300 million = $4.5 Billion and there are many more in preclinical testing. Those who think that the payment for the development of these drugs will somehow magically appear are either very naive or just not thinking things through.

Speaking of stocks and notifications, I just discovered a new site:
onlineinvestor.com
that has a board and they have just come out with their first two hard copy issues (its published by-monthly for now). Looks like quite a bit of info that should be of interest to readers of this board. They do talk about SI, and Jesse Eisinger is one of their contributors. Could be an interesting magazine and site.
