This whole thing signals that MOT will buy AMD. It also signals that they aren't looking at doing it now, but in a little while down the road.

I mean think about it. MOT gets access to AMDs patents so they can start building product around those patents NOW. (well designing).. when they have product ready and AMD has setup their chips for a MOT process then MOT buys. This reduces the time for the acquisition to be effective and is a very wise way to do things.
