The chart has an obvious pattern in it. Take a look at the price curve if you simply remove the thrashing that took place starting at the end of February (remember the 88% days?) and ending when the price gapped up and never looked back on this most recent climb.

That looks like a REALLY solid growth chart, one that strongly suggests THQI took a real beating, and came out as strong as ever. It's a classic triple-top vs. double bottom argument, one that usually is won the old fashioned way: they EARN it! The market has not been kind to THQI really, in fact it has pounded THQI.

The price rise this past run has been strong, sustained, and pretty well confirmed by two reversals of down periods. Coming up on earnings, it's a quite appropriate time for THQI to EARN their money the old fashioned way. I don't think there is any suprises coming, I don't think there is any WXYZ buyout coming prior to earnings, I don't think there is any statements that can be misconstrued coming, but I do think EARNINGS are coming. Quest sold, WCW continued to sell, there was GB (I want to to see how it compares, I'm curious), and the number of games available from THQI is getting denser, year by year.

Then there is the acquisition charge which has unknown consequences. I don't think this is as bad as it has been portrayed. When the money asks THQI, "hey, what'd ya do with all that money you made?", THQI will simply tell em "we put it into R&D". The reality is that is exactly what the acquisition was all about. So ... money says "OK, we can handle that", and away we go towards $40.

Whether we come back down for air is unknown, but I think we'll have to earn the $30's, just like the $20's, just like the $10's ... and on and on ... But THQI will EARN their money the old fashion way, and that will be the momentum builder we need to go to the next level, and there we find ... THE RUGRATS! Those kiddies are right around the corner, and they will generate a lot of sales of Nintendo 64 sets, let alone some serious cartridges. Christmas comes right after that, and we're in new territority AGAIN.

THQI earned my respect a long time ago, when Sig would worry about "that wall of worry", Bleeker was actually bleek, Trippy was "off in Africa" on some mission, Hainesda's first post was considered sacred, Todd already telling us how good a deal it was, and Aloha in and out just like normal (although we didn't know his dinner menu back then :o)

ahem ... I'll see you guys at Christmas, that's when we'll PARTY together. I'm looking forward to earnings, you sucker shorts can pass on looking for my shares to use, I got them right here in my safe. LOL, shares are going to be hard to find, don't sell them any for a month, that'll teach em :o)
