Mystery CS news!

I'm not sure what exactly pissed Harold and the Captain off about the tone of the thread, but I know it has interfered with the smooth flow of information I have come to value a great deal on SI and this thread! Please let's not show our collective asses on this thread by playing the flame game...we don't need to go there!

After some private conversations with Harold over the past couple of days, since he indicated his bearish stance on CS in an about face from his post-shareholder meeting sentiments, I have concluded that his information is AT LEAST sincere, and in all probability truthful in fact. He has asked that I not reveal this information specifically at this time, but I'm sure if those responsible for this bad blood would make a simple apology to him and the Captain, either in public or private, the information will be forthcoming! Please show some class and defer in this one instance...his information is VERY valuable, but can be read differently than he currently is reading it.

I would love to expand and debate the 3 issues that came to his attention from a VERY reliable source the other day, but in order to keep an open line of communication in place, I will respect his wishes and share with you as agreed my impressions. Suffice it to say, one of the three has already happened since the shareholder meeting, and public knowledge of the other two might depress the stock slightly in the short term...although he may believe the effect will be more severe. However, Harold:-), I don't believe the impetus that created the circumstances for the other two bits of info is FULLY understood by your source...there may be OUTSIDE influences that help CB keep such a STIFF spine!!! Remember the story about the baby bull and father bull..."daddy, daddy, let's run down into that valley and screw one of those cows"..."no my son, let's walk down there and screw them ALL"!!!:-)

This information needs to be aired and evaluated by all us shareholders because I believe there are actually bullish undertones in the whole story! It would, however, affect my decision to buy NETVA in order to average CS down further, but for the most part it will only delay our anticipated financial gain from our belief in Cabletron!

Sorry to be so vague, but I promised!

Leaving ? Don't make any money ? I said I sold 60% of my CS. Does that leave me 0 ? We played CS based on our info from heavy hitters, and in reality we never gave that info out, at least not directly. Allow us the option of lightening the load since CS did not achieve the intended goal. hey maybe in 2-4Qs CB can turn it around, but I am not making CS my #1 holding now, especially since the oil sector is ready to roll again.
Allow me to give you a tip from a non-money maker. if you want a safe, money maker by Jan.'99 MDCO, UTI. there are always bigger winners, but sleeping at night is good too.
