This question may have been asked earlier. Can anyone make sense of this for me? Dell spends .60 to.70 cents of every dollar buying back shares. Yet the shareholders have approved a 3 BILLION increase in shares. A long term holder and a little confused. Can someone clear the confusion for me.

Donald, You said Your analysis was the topic of many discussions in Austin at the meeting.

Can you synopsize points of agreement and disagreement?

I was glad to hear MD point out that margins don't count -- profits do. It was reported that he used the example of mouse pads generating higher gross margins than computers. You'd be surprised at how many top executives and analysts don't understand this principal!

Donald, could you give us your impressions of the tour? I would appreciate hearing how efficient you perceived the factory to be, and how "organized" it is. Or, was it a mess, and people just shoving product out the door? (I doubt that this exists.) Also, how long do they "burn-in" the computers prior to shipment.

Thanks for the info.
