Crossy, thanks for your explanation and guidance. It's a completely different approach than I've been using and probably good for quite alot extra in profits.Lately I've been trying several approaches such as buying on break above trading channel.Don't know if that's as good as bluesky breakout nor as safe.
A trader friend of mine uses 3,7,10 ema where 3 and 7 move thru 10ema as an initial signal for his scalp trades along with Macd, slow stochastics, obv and mf.I'm too old to deal with that type of stress all day long so he suggested I try 5,10,15 as it's a little slower.
I intend to remain open to new approaches until I find something that works under all different market conditions or simply different approaches depending upon my feel as to whats going on.
Is anyone else noticing similarities between now and 1987 such as record trade gaps, layoffs in manufacturing and a bullish mentality that seems to have no end?Maybe I'm just paranoid but I don't want to have my portfolio go negative ever again even if it means going all cash.
Warmest regards to you,Bosco and all
Dave

g'day all - dear Crossy, PWAV is indeed interesting. I wonder if it is fully discounted due to its business in the consumer electronics sector [as W Molloy put it quite succinctly, it travels with the rest of the wireless pack QCOM and others.] Just read that Brandywine sold its position in PWAV awhile back b/c of the Korean fiasco

On a separate note, TD seems to be a notch above run of the mills Candle systems. What is the rationales behind BUY13 and SELL13 [I think one of the Doug R's comrades <vbg> use these two quite extensively in the "56" thread?]

best, Bosco
