Paul, which of your hundred posts on this thread did they steal that one from. :-)

Very funny, they act like it's a new revelation or something.

RE:"Any boost would also be welcome forAMD, which is suffering
significant financial losses even as Intel, despite setbacks, is still
churning out more than $1 billion in profits a quarter. AMD has
reported multimillion-dollar losses in the last four quarters and
the company has warned that it may not report a profit for the
current quarter.

Pretty funny, huh?"

Yeah, if your a Masochist.

Paul,

<the company (AMD) has warned that it may not report a profit for the current quarter>

"May not"? What a joke. Warning should have read 'AMD has warned that it has no (as in zero, zilch, nada) chance of reporting a profit for the current quarter and may not report a profit ever.

Paul..just got ML report from TK:Investment Highlights:Earnings decline accelerates, sales decline...Gross margins plunges aggravated by inventory write down reflecting price declines...estimates lowered for 98 and 99,,,shares price doldrums trading range likely to persist rest of year.PC market slowdown impacts sales..unit shipments decline...weak seasonal pickup not seen as turnaround...earnings decline of 22-28% projected in H2,sales to remain below year ago.....market share falls to 83% Pentium II cycle not helping company to grow. Our full years estimate is reduced by 6% to $2.78 from $2.95..for next year we see little compelling reason to expect much change in Intel's revenues or earnings...rate Intel NEUTRAL for the intermediate term because of its very poor relative earnings growth and absence of any revenue growth. INVESTORS SHOULD BEAR IN MIND THAT OUR EARNINGS OUTLOOK IS SUBJECT TO A HIGH DEGREE OF VARIABILITY..how's that for an OUT!
