GM, The Rocketbook is an interesting thing but here I guess I must risk appearing anachronistic. I have had a love affair with books my whole life. I still am thrilled to snag a book in a store and cannot wait to get someplace and crack it open. The look, the feel, and the smell, of books, still turn me on. When I was young, and growing up in Tulsa, I can remember the central library as being one of my favorite places. In those days we had something called a "bookmobile" , a rolling mini library, that would come to the neighborhood, to lend books once a week during the Summer vacations. They limited the number of books that could be borrowed to five. Mine were read in the first 2-3 days after checking them out. My mother took out a card so she could borrow five books also. That way I could stay in stock until the next week. I note that a substantial amount of my reading is now on the internet. It is a well spring of ideas, education, information, and entertainment. (This latter category is where your dog fits in...easily entertained huh?) But I still must have a book underway and I hold, read, and enjoy reading a book, if even a few moments, every day of my life. I know, some will say I am a tree hater. But I recycle as much as I can and a used bookstore is like heaven to me. I might add that, judging from the regular posts I read here, I suspect I am not in a minority regards this affection for paper. Now, between you and me I hope rocketbook and its ilk take off like ...well...rockets. That way maybe my sundry collection of nearly 2,000 books will be valuable someday. Lord knows I will never give them away. So go ahead and splurge on the new toy old friend, if you wish. As for me? What was the title of that Aisimov book again? <G> Best, Stitch
