On the other hand. Donald: If you have never toured the Metric 12 facility you cannot imagine the Enormous scale and scope of Dell's operations.. True, but that is why we send you guys down there.<VBG>Michael's Positive attitude seems to be pervasive across all employees at all levels top to bottom. In my view this is the most valuable asset any company could Possibly have. Agreed,I believe it is not enough to be a good executive any more he/she needs to be a motivator and must inspire. Case in point, look at that bastard at CPQ, good executive but an arrogant SOB and hardly a motivator. I also have witnessed this personally during my tenure with a company, the man I worked with took/bought this looser of company [he paid 800k for it at the time] and turned it into a powerhouse in the industry in 5 years and sold it for a whopping 25 million after turning it into a money maker. The man I speak of didn't go to Harvard or Wharton but is an immigrant from Spain,a high school graduate,an ex soccer player with a funny accent but a terrific motivator with good business skills who rewarded his employees handsomely and made them part owners with stock options, bonuses and high salary. Now he is the CEO of a 'listed' multi-million [sales over 700 million] dollar company.Funny he came from Spain with no money!!!Sorry I digress but I was just illustrating the power of motivation and good business skills. M.Dell seems to be the same type of person magnified by a factor of 100. I asked an entry-level employee how he likes working at Dell. He stated, working for Dell is better than anything he had ever dreamed of.. Sort of like owning Dell stock,eh??? Thanks for your feed back Donald, much appreciated.
