David,

You are right. That invention will get a lot of people's attention. How could it not?

Since I am not a secret FBN member I do not know about the CHES acquisition.
And who would be dastardly enough to short FBN? They will be sorry, right?

Topfuel, in order to get this thread to number one you have to compose a catchy message and cut and paste it on dozens of threads within minutes of each other. Yes, normally such a practice might get you tossed off SI for several weeks, but as Janice and SI Admin Bob are officers of the same internet chess club, I'm pretty sure she'd be able to get you back on SI before you can say the secret FBN motto. Post away!

TOPFUEL: We've been to number one in the past. What drove it there was creative marketing materials, developed in part from the likelihood that the "invention" being released might actually be real. In other words, there's enough believability in it to get other folks to respond. Most times, it's a humorous response because the little zingers we throw in make it obvious that it's a joke. Then, other posters play off the original post and the responses. We all have fun doing it.

I'm sorry to inform you that a "A NAPPER CRAPPER Y2k SHILL 2000 recliner" doesn't quite fit the model.

Try coming up with a nifty technical doodad that can use the CxBS chip, some "Blastomere Separation", some Y2K play, some Euro stuff, and maybe even some technologically irrelevant buzzwords.

AFTER MANY YEARS OF TRYING TO FIND SOME CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE 10% INCREASE IN CATTLE MUTALTIONS IN MONTANA WITH THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPANY NAMED FBN. NOTHING CAME FROM THE INVESTIGATION BECAUSE THEY ARE BOTH MYSTERIES AND WILL NEVER BE FOUND OUT, BUT MANY BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE SCAMS.
