Don, I agree and knowing Siemens they will have those modems replaced in no time at all.

The company that I manage does excavations all of the time. The type of cable that we are most carefull as to not dig through is the fiber optic cable. If before excavating, the cable was marked properly (which they always are) and then an excavating company hit it. That company may as well throw in the towel. These cables are usually fixed immeidately
