*AV*-I understand you completely and it is one of the reasons I chose to respond the way i did. Most of the community members now me real well and are fully aware of the UTEK saga as it relates to me. your name is not as recognizable as other members so for your benefit and some new lurkers or readers of this thread, it was probably a good time to do a memory refresher. For short term profits there may be many other stocks to look at. For the big bucks, you could risk capital in the under $5 stocks and make out real well or wind up penniless. Many of the "grey" stocks (a good terms instead of spam, scam, hype, or real speculative) that find their way into discussions here have, more times than not, gone from multi-dollar stocks to pennystocks, including bankruptcies. Personally, I keep a focust on around 50-100 stocks only and rotate them into play as I see fit. In a way, I am very hesistant to add extraneous stocks to that list but as the quality of this thread has improved, I have made additions and have become vocal on them AFTER doing the research. With that said, this focus lists rotates primarily due to my own inputs and information I gather. I do meld in and welcome feedback such as Judy's that focus on TA or trading type approaches, along with other types of inputs. They either strengthen my resolve, convince me not to move forward and wait, or totally scare me away from an investment. I like to have a nickle's worth of backing prior to investing. So after I put my 2c in, I eagerly await the other 3c to come in from other places. I do hope you find some use to this thread since Judy is correct in her comments. I would add to her comments that, as a group, we are not perfect, but our batting average seems to have us in a tight race for "Best of Breed" for 1998. While I do not have actual figures for us to compare, my gut feeling is that we are beating the best of the street, and at the end of the year I would not be surprised to see, on average, growth of 50-66% in most portfolios. Through good instincts, some of the community may have been lucky enough to keep clear of some of the misses and garner even more fantastic returns. Those in YHOO and DELL, among a few are probably looking at more than doubling their protfolio value. But I digress. As stated I not only know where you are coming from, I also believe your comments are quite valid. We seem to have started a useful dialogue at one particular point in time, using UTEK as the jumping off point. If I had my druthers, I would rather have had it happen with some other stock. Be that as it may, it was very good of you to share your comments with the community and I hope you will be a frequent poster here. Andrew
