Elmer: I just checked tomshardware.com and see that Tom showed Celeron 300/100 = 30.6 K6-2-300/100 = 29.8 That is 2.7% difference in High End Winstone 98. This benchmark is a simple program that hardly uses the cache. Wait till you run some real applications that access the L2 cache often then your 2.7% improvement goes south. How do you like the FPU benchmark I gave you? Now that is REAL FPU benchmark. Remember most of the functions or calculations can be done using addition/subtraction, multiplying, dividing, square root, etc. Maxwell
