This is my major concern for the moment. The global economy can go south and bring the U.S economy down with it. Some economists are now forecasting negative growth for the U.S. Greenspan wants to bring down the GDP to a growth rate of 2 to 2 1/2%. If we go below his target, he may be forced to lower interest rates in order to ward-off a recession.

Time will tell.
