Chat MB,

<It is hard to still be "early" on this segment and watch the likes of DELL split twice in half the time!>

Turns your stomach too. If I only had a buck for each time Ive thought this or discussed it w/ another. Looking back on last year & adding up the profits on the ten that I was going to buy pretty much sickens me too & leaves me with the why of doing the adsl thing again so I know well what your saying.

<I am afraid we should defer to the analysts which we often deride on this and other threads and admit that they were right on the money concerning ADSL deployment. If I remember correctly, many people here and on AMTX thread were predicting large scale deployments maybe by late 97 but for sure 1st half 98. Well, we are now 2nd half 98, and who has started large scale deployments??>

Very hard to argue with but I think one of these persons let his true feelings out in a post this week. Ill p.m. the url to ya in just a few & I think your going to just luv this one & it may help you decide if you want more Wstl.

<If RBOCs had their way, we would be using tin cups tied to a string
and paying 1000$ a month for the priviledge.>

Simply amazing isn't it! One of the good things in the BA deployment PR is that you can trade in your isdn for an adsl modem free of charge. Downside is that you will probably pay equal to or more for the servcie. If Im guessing right we may see some co location when the FCC decides but its gonna be next year before Wstl sees any roi if they are effective with future pricing plans. As for the RBOC's its for sure they are mighty comfortable selling T1 lines & thus the delay plus pricey service on adsl. I think we will see some noise problems w/ adsl deployment but it works or csco & lu wouldn't be messing with it.

P.S.

Trey, ya gotta point there.
