gdichaz and all,

I do not believe this link has been posted yet. I could be wrong though. It was yesterday news anyway. It certainly did not cause any price appreciation on QCOM as expected (ggg).

Mexico's Televisa to take 15 pct stake in Qualcomm
CANCUN, Mexico, July 17 (Reuters) - Mexican broadcaster Grupo Televisa (TLEVISACPO.MX) (TV - news) will take around a 15 percent stake in a local wireless telecommunications venture between U.S. firm Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM - news) and Mexico's Pegaso PCS, a top Pegaso official said late Thursday.
His remarks followed Monday's news that San Diego-based Qualcomm signed a $650 million agreement to form a joint venture with Pegaso, which recently won a bid for a government radio frequency to operate cellular telephone services.

San Diego-based Qualcomm announced on Monday it had signed a $650 million agreement to provide telecommunications infrastructure to Pegaso, which paid $256 million for the radio frequencies.

''Televisa has a buy option and has a contract with us,'' Alejandro Burillo Azcarraga, vice chairman of the board of Qualcomm-Pegaso, told Reuters. ''We're saying basically it will be some 15 percent.''

Burillo is also head of Televisa's international affairs department, vice-president of the board and a personal advisor to Televisa head Emilio Azcarraga Jean.

Burillo was in Cancun for the signing ceremony between Televisa and 17 Latin American broadcasters on a separate television deal.
