Bill,

Your point is well taken although in my case it is not that I have trouble understanding how options work or their implication for (the underlying) stocks. I believe that I am fairly well read and experienced on the subject not to mention the priceless lessons the markets have taught me with real $$$. "This ain't my first rodeo." <ggg> My deviation from conventional wisdom on options comes from observational interpretations of the root catalyst of price movement on or near expiration days. For instance the Feds may raise or lower interest rates to produce, preempt, combat, speed up or slow down a certain effect in the economy. Some may say this a (necessary) form of manipulation or price fixing? But the results of their decision can be seen and felt in a domino effect.
However I agree with you totally when you say <<..You can argue over something or you can profit from it.>> I guess that is why I have been much more successful as an option writer than as an option purchaser. So I'll take your advise and concentrate on how to profit from this "pinning the strike" a.k.a. "MM manipulation" phenomenon.
