I don't mind opposing views, so long as the poster understands that they are in fact, views. It's when the person elevates his viewpoint above all others and treats it as the Word, and that they're doing their good deed for the day to let all know what the "truth is", well that's when I get disturbed.

This is a free speech society, and you have every right to speak your opinion. However, if the group you're speaking to doesn't care to listen, you shouldn't get offended either. How many times have you walked past a pan handler, or a street preacher, or someone ranting on and on about this or that? Did you stop and listen? Probably not, because you didn't have to. Just as we don't have to accept you, even though you have a right to talk. It's human nature for men to congregate to those they are most comfortable with and who shares their opinions and viewpoints. That doesn't make us bad, or unethical or in violation of some law.

Things need to be analyzed in context. this is a stock discussion board about Valence Technology. Not about Dell Computer, or about Microsoft, or about "The US Legal System". It's about Valence Tech.

Please, let's just talk about VLNC. That's what I come here for, to read and exchange ideas on the merits of Valences products and potential for profit.

Regards (Good to hear from you Fred. Hope all is well)

Mark:

You summed it up in the first sentence of your last post of why you are here. "A theoretical underpinning of the U.S. legal system is that adversarial process is valued for its role in arriving at truth."

There is a difference between civil discussions and long winded dissertations on doomsday conjecture. You seem to want to conduct an "adversarial process here".

Maybe from the lawyerly standpoint the adversarial process is productive but in most discussion groups I have found that style inflammatory.

Please continue to express your viewpoint as you see fit. You have painted vlnc bulls as anxiety ridden dreamers. Well I am dreaming for the best.

Good Luck
