I already pay enough in taxes. I don't particularly care about people who failed to save for tomorrow, and then expect everyone else to pick up the tab for their myopia. If we all went around taking care of people who failed to take care of themselves, we'd never get anywhere. It is not my responsibility, social or otherwise, to fork over my money (or part of the earnings on my shares) to people who are disadvantaged through no fault of my own. It may sound hard, but it's the way I see it. Welcome to capitalism, and say good-bye to the welfare state of the past. Damn the people that convinced today's elderly that social security was some sort of retirement plan. And now, my generation is expected to pay for it? BS! Regards, LoD
