Steve,

MOT hates INTC even more than AMD.. if you think INTC would get off light with MOT owing AMD, you are dreaming. MOT got beaten by Intel when IBM went the 8086 instead of the techincally better (and LATER) 68000. MOT wants blood in a way that no-one who doesn't know someone who works there or works there themselves could ever understand. It's almost part of the culture".

INTC like MSFT no doubt has a long list of adversaries. NSCP didn't care much for MSFT, but it didn't matter in the end. AMD actually put up a good fight, but INTC proved to be very capable at dealing with its opponents.

I think that post sums it up most. MOT had bad luck once, tried again and now they look posied to do it yet again.

But was it bad luck, or was it Intel's aggressive execution? As you know Intel can be a relentless competitor.
