Lee, trading strategy works just as well on uptrending stocks but limits the upside potential. No big deal, so one makes $$ instead of $$$. A profit is a profit is a profit ...

But one should not short equity puts unless one is comfortable with it for a trade ... or can view short equity puts as a gtc limit order to buy the underlying security and not sweat it.

Hi, Lee ... on trading and engineering

Momentum = buy the calls

Inertia = sell the puts

Take a look at CSCO and/or AOL. Opportunity is here with the market selloff.
