Scumbria,

How many CPQ stock splits have occurred since then?

Many, but the last two seem to be unjustified. A 5 for 2 followed by a 2 for 1 just a few months later? What was that all about. For awhile the stock was in the 20's.

The only difference between then and now, is that they are leading the charge rather than responding. You should get in while the stock is still a bargain.

Leading the charge to zero profits that is. <G> Seriously, we agree more than it seems. CPQ was (and still might be) a great company. But they have got some problems to work out. I think the stock is too high. I did consider buying it when it fell to $23/shr. But unfortunately for me it didn't stay on sale for long. I think it will return to the $25/shr range. I will consider it then.
