So, lets see... Is this what we could be waiting for?
Taken from CYGS's web page.

Mounting evidence continues to support the hypothesis that the altered patterns of genetic expression is the cause of the geriatric conditions called "aging". Telomeres are also at the center of oncology research. The thrust of CYGS' research is to demonstrate that telomere lengthening translates into the restoration of genetic expression patterns and rejuvenation of the organism. This significant redirection is the reason the company is now doing business as CYGS, Inc.

In 1996, the company acquired the rights to a vector designed to create single strands of DNA in vivo to lengthen telomeres. This ssDNA technology is in the pre-clinical laboratory research phase and still progressing nicely according to plan. We expect that the initial investigation will be completed and results demonstrated by mid 1998.

If this is what BD thinks is coming this week this could be big, really big. If they can successfully demonstrate what they are attempting, then these announcements could cause "the President to comment." Can you imagine the impact of anti-aging combined with a cure for cancer?

Now that sounds too good to be true...
