Can anyone tell me what makes a security marginable? Is it automatically such when the price hits $5.00? Or must it stay above $5 for a while. Further, what happens if one utilizes the additional buying power afforded by margin, but then the price of the security drops below $5.00? Is there a call generated for the whole amount of the additional buying power utilized? Many thanks.
