Radiant Technology Announces Third Quarter Earnings

FULLERTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 20, 1998--Radiant Technology Corp. (OTC/BB:RTNC) Monday
announced net income of $182,048 for the three months ended June 30, 1998, or 10 cents per share, compared with net
income of $135,280, or 7 cents per share, for the comparable period in 1997.

Net income for the nine months ended June 30, 1998, was $484,256, or 26 cents per share, compared with net income of
$279,593, or 15 cents per share, for the comparable period ended June 30, 1997, an increase of 73 percent.

''Net sales for the first nine months of the current fiscal year total $3.7 million, up 19 percent compared with the comparable
nine month period,'' said Lawrence R. McNamee, chairman and chief operating officer. ''We are pleased by the solid
performance both in the third quarter and for the year-to-date.''

McNamee attributed the increased sales and net income to new products developed to meet thermal processing and other
requirements of Radiant Technology customers.

Radiant Technology develops, manufactures and services precision thermal processing systems primarily used by
manufacturers of electronic components. The company's furnaces and conveyorized belt ovens are designed to meet the
continually changing process requirements in the semiconductor packaging, flat panel display, hybrid thick film firing,
multichip module, solar cell and printed circuit board assembly industries. Its customers include the majority of major
electronic component manufacturers worldwide.
