Wireless, wireless, wireless. In this entire string, I haven't seen one person talk about the obvious strength of wireless technologies relating to last mile operations. I predict that these technologies will be a MAJOR force in last mile delivery. Between all the wireless companies out there that own spectrum in the nation, 99% of America is passed by a wireless signal. We just have to wait for technology to catch up to the opportunity. It'll be here within the next two years. Look very closely for companies such as American Telecasting, Inc., Heartland Wireless, Teligent, Winstar and host of other major players. These are the first companies that will bring, on a mass scale, the ability to bring every communication need you have in one package directly to your home, bypassing the traditional monopolies of yesteryear... TCI, US West, Pac Bell, Southern Bell...etc. It's VERY exciting!
