Celebra is a COX II Inhibitor.

In english the drug passes through the stomach without any of the side effects of most analgesiscs. It then goes to the pain site where it delivers pain relief. It was discovered by a doctor who then partnered with Monsanto. Prior to AHP's buyout of Monsanto, Monsanto knew that they had a great new drug but their corporate infrastructure was unable to bring this drug through the clinical process(beating Merck since they are working on their own version)and to the FDA/Public. They sought a partner that would enable them to get to the market ASAP. This will be filed this summer(they are close) and barring any problems, 1998 will be the launch date. This will drive up alliance revenues. My guess is that if this drug does sell more than 2 billion in it's first full year, Pfizer's overall Alliance Revenue will surpass 2 billion per year. Pfreaky but true, Looks like Pfizer is the premier marketing and distribution company of the drug sector. I just keep buying!!!
