There is a standard formula for calculating emas, ie. given in Elder's "Trading for a Living". The numerical differences in ema calculation at various sites may be due to the start point of when they initiated the calculation. For instance, to determine the 20-day ema, one starts with a initial 20-day simple moving average to get the calculation process going. This value depends on which 20-days are used as the "seed". However, the difference should be negligible and dampen out over time. Let me know if this is not true.

I often eyeball emas off of charts, so precision beyond the first digit after the decimal is sufficient. A physicist may agonize over this, but not an engineer.
