A Late Night BAMBI Update Well, BAMBI has been sterling thus far. BAMBI is 10 for 10. In each week in which there was a weekly bullish signal the S&P was positive the following week. I received 3 bullish signals for this past week (ALD, JNJ & TRV). There were no bearish signals. BAMBI is a very positive 22/8 for the past week with 15 DJIA stocks beating the Index, which I also interpret as bullish. Now with Mr. G addressing Congress and Big Blue releasing its earnings, can we keep the streak going! Even our beloved INTC gave a weekly bullish signal. In fact, even the Index itself finally gave a bullish signal. But not, alas, yet the DJIA. But, I believe it has got to be getting close. I see stock after stock going parabolic. I suggest one should not fight the trend. I expended a lot of energy this past week to gain almost nothing. I broke some rules and entered G and PEP way too early; mistakes I'll soon correct. I also tried to play an earnings play (CHKPF) that turned out a disaster. I've found I don't do well with earnings plays. I've come to the conclusion that I'll be glad when this quarterly earnings season is over! Personally, I had some calls expire worthless Friday that did not entertain me. My GM puts which I refused to take a triple and my MCD puts that were up 80% shortly after acquiring them, went poof! One of the greatest benefits I've learned from the Dudes is to play Leaps. They are much more forgiving about getting one's ego involved in both the acquisition and selling decisions. Some more tuition paid to the Investment Institute of Higher Education. In fact, I now go a bit farther. When I purchase, I immediately enter a limit sell order. This enforces the discipline to consider the potential profit that I desire in the transaction. I'm still working on the ego problem when the transaction moves against me from the get-go. Hopefully, I'll get this one fixed this week!!! BTW, DAI is one of the most interesting charts I looked at this weekend. Looks like this puppy's direction is going to be determined very quickly. But, HWP's direction will be decided before then!
