OK..OK...since you all asked..

Here is a little true story for you just to give you an idea of what this Collins "ace"..lol..reporter is all about...
Before the AGM ,he went on and on about wanting to meet me and wanting to ask me questions, and asking if I would be there..etc. etc. (presumably he wanted to do a story on exceptional internet touts...lol) ...

Well, he knew I was going to be there, he knew my real name...so he had ample opportunity to find me for an interview...but, here is what happened..

Jerry enters the lobby outside the room the AGM was to be held at..but immediately goes and hides in the washroom for 15 minutes..until about two minutes before the meeting was to start. What he was doing in there I do not know...but I believe I heard him humming some George Michael tunes..(Yes, I know its an old joke...but still humourous IMO)

When he signed in, he did so RIGHT BELOW MY NAME...he admits to seeing it.

He sat two seats away from me but other than a cursory glance in my direction, he didn't bother talking to me. Darn, I even wore my name tag on my right lapel so that he would definitely see it...I am sure that he did...I mean he is a reporter...right...and a reporter would be taking in the sights instead of just staring straight ahead into the lights or down at his notepad so as to avoid any eye contact with others..

When the AGM was over, I went to look for him...guess what..he ran out of the building and down the block...I think he might have come close to beating the 100 meter world record.

I chased him, but by the time I got out of the hotel, I could see him fading in the distance several blocks away.
The catch phrase is no longer "Run Forrest, RUN"...it is now "RUN JERRY RUN"

Better yet, when I question him about all of this upon my return to Toronto and my computer, he actually states that I (Clive D.) am NOT Avalon and that even if he had met me, it wouldn't have mattered as he wanted to talk to "AV"...not Clive...ROTFLMAO at Jerry....
I am assuming he has proof of this claim...but he has yet to show it.

LOL...yes, Jerry is quite brave when he is thousands of miles away and posting on the internet...but when it comes to facing the subjects of his posts, articles and criticisms...he is just another HACK reporter who believes that controversy, not truth, is more important in a story.

AV

Hi Avalon. Your message was addressed to Walter, but the content appears to be a response to my message. To reply directly to a persons post just click "Respond" at the bottom of the message. I hope this helps, and I think you will find SI a very user friendly site.

You said:

<<Example:
I think Carson's transmission of the $23-a-share fantasy was just that -- a transmission,
and was not strictly the product of a vivid imagination. Were it to be purely a work of
fiction, a reasonable person would believe Crystallex would have issued a strongly worded
statement to the effect that no such offer exists, refuting the item carried in the widely
read VENews (Roy claims thousands upon thousands of "hits" daily on his website).

Instead, Marc Oppenheimer himself was full of praise for Roy's reporting at the AGM,
although he also took pains to distance KRY from the colourful Caracas-based journalist. ">>

Further down you state:

<<You, charred etc etc may all believe that this was all a promotion but, as I do even with positive KRY stuff,
I ask for proof.>>

I cannot speak for others, but the above two passages, IMO, would support the possibility of "promotion". A couple of thoughts, if there was indeed a $23 offer, I would suggest that the directors have failed in their duty to create value for their shareholders. I wonder how many would not be ecstatic if the price was at that level now.

You say you would ask for "proof", well that is something that was not supplied. The fact that MO did not deny the statement and the additional fact that he was full of praise for Carson at the AGM, would also lend credence to promotion. I am sure that the suggested offer of $23 was a huge incentive for people to buy the stock. Either way you look at it the shareholders were hurt.

If Mr Carson was correct on the offer, the board should have accepted it, if he was wrong, a simple denial from MO would have shot down the promotion theory.

That is just my opinion Avalon, and probably all that I have to say on the matter. There are a few other issues that are unanswered in my mind, but as I said yesterday, I have no wish to get into long, drawn out discussions. Eventually the truth will come out, regardless of what you or I think. I just hope that the end result is to the benefit of the shareholders.

Regards,
Dan

Hello Avalon, the promotion did exist. If there was no $23 US why didn't MO issue a statement. The proof you ask is what Carson should supply. Who told him this? Carson won't answer. Why don't you ask Carson. Why didn't they accept the $23US offer. The reason why I am pushing this point is because you can not trust the management and their supporters. The $23US offer caught them in the lie. Carson is all promotion and we all know that MO talks to Carson.

As for the future for this company, not that bright. Money losing mine and law suits. MO should be fired. He got the company into this mess. If I was a shareholder I would sell my shares and invest into a mining company that uses their money on development and exploration, not lawsuits.

The potential at Albino is limited , maybe 500,000 ounces. Santa Elena has nothing. They haven't drilled one hole into the property. The facts speak. Probably most important is that management owns no shares. It would be easier to believe them if they have their own money at risk here. You personally own more share then Fung and MO combined. Strange isn't it.

Hi Avalon,

I'm not familiar with you since I don't follow any other KRY forums, but you seem like a reasonable guy. I also don't know Jerry, except for what he's posted here. It does appear, as you stated, that his primary purpose is to "get Carson" for whatever reason. I don't know the history, so I won't comment on that.

The question of the moment seems to be, "Was KRY promoted and was there an offer for $23?". I doubt there can ever be an unequivocal answer to that question, but it is possible to make an educated guess, based on circumstantial evidence. Since this has not reached a court of law (yet), I think it is reasonable to form an opinion based on what we know.

Did KRY promote itself? Many have pointed to the company's news releases as evidence that it did not. I would agree, that if you define self-promotion as the content of news releases, the answer is no. I see no evidence of self-promotion by that definition. But, IMO, there was promotion from other sources, so the question is, "Did KRY promote itself through others?". I don't think, at this point, it is possible for us to answer that question.

On the other hand, if you ask the question, "Was KRY promoted?", I think there is no doubt the answer is yes. Who were the promoters? Well, I hope you would agree that Carson was numero uno. If you can read this vheadline.com and not believe he was hyping, please explain why. From the first time I read his "newsletter" I filtered everything he said through a wall of skepticism. I could never believe that anyone took him seriously. There were red flags (literally!) all over his work. The lack of balance in his "reporting", the exaggerated publication style, the "inside info" feel, etc., etc. In fact, he was so obvious that, at times, I wondered if he was sincere! I reasoned that if he were trying to convince his readership, he would be more subtle.

The other major arm of the promotion was right here at SI, on SH, and other internet forums. The problem here is trying to separate the pro-hypers from the con-hypers from real people like you and me <g>. That, I have concluded, is near impossible, due to the anonymous nature of this medium. All you've got is text, no body language, no voice inflection - very, very tough. In real human contact, most of the communication is non-verbal, and that's totally missing here. You have to use a lot of imagination to sort out the meaning in people's posts. No wonder there's so much conflict and misunderstanding. Anyway, enough rambling. Over to you.

Welcome Avalon!

Now I fully understand your distastes for Jerry Collins, but I do not comprehend your continuing defense of Roy Carson.

Sorry AV, but he has posted BS piled on top of BS. His record is as plain as the nose on your face! Saying you weren't in KRY at the time of the alleged $23 offer is not a defense of that Carson posting.

As far as MO heaping praise on Carson at the AGM..............well I clearly have an opinion on that! And on MO as well. Those face to face chats always serve their purpose and MO obviously deflected much deserved criticism of himself at the AGM.

Attack Jerry, you've cause enough...........but this blind defense of Carson and all hisBS for more than a year!!! Please Clive, think man, think!

In KRY solidarity, I am your humble servant,

excalibur
