Captain Jack if it is WAVX it is 4 out 4. All hardware requires some interface software. In the beginning it is almost always provided by the implementor of the hardware (Wave in this case). Later, once the hardware becomes commonplace, OS suppliers (i.e. evil empires) and other developers may add their own layers to take advantage of more than just the basics. CJ & All With RCOM's RF/ID reader I will be able to walk Past your computer and tell weather or not it has a Wave Meter in it. and, weather or not it's Your computer. and, weather or not your software is registered to you. On the other hand If I am IBM I can tell if you are trying to make off with one of my computers. Or if you have authorization to use it. That is if the Chip is in the computer and the reader is in my hand.. But on the other hand if The reader is in the computer and the chip is in my pocket or in my ring, then that would open up other possibilities. (e-commerce) or If the chip was in my pocket and the reader was in my car, or in the pay phone, or at the bus station or wherever, then that would complicate the PLAN. This is being done on a large scale now. But Ramtrons patent on FRAM and RCOM'S RF/ID reader works without power in the chip. which means I wouldn't have to pull my car keys out and push the button on my key chain to unlock or even start the car. ECT, ECT, ECT, Any thing is possible, I just wouldn't bet the Farm on someone's Hype, the artical is rather evasive. I believe anyone who would dispute this has other motivations. When Wave Gets to $2 will it be a buy or a sell? A few Know, many don't. I Don't Remember don't kill the messenger, Ask IBM. Pat
