Thanks Andrew.

I would be curious as to your (unstated) reasons for not investing in ETEC at this point. I have been cautious because of the warning that the first two Q of the next fiscal year, starting 8/1, would be relatively weak -- i.e., its to soon to buy now, what's the rush it's not going anywhere theories, and the UTEK risk. In 3-6 months we will know a lot more about these issues and the price should not be materially higher.

Andrew,

Thanks for the "light Stamp" insights. I guess one could always remember that IBM has been doing research into Josephson Junctions for at least 30 years and has yet to produce anything useful.

The original light stamp would require ETEC or ETEC like technology to create, but thereafter the article seemed to indicate that copies could be produced for "pennies". Is this a major advantage for today's ICs. i.e. - What's the mask life for logic, DRAM, etc. relative to the life of that chip design. Are masks thrown out because there are more effective/efficient chip designs or because they've worn out?

Or, in other words, might this pose a threat to the Merchant Mask shops a few years down the road?

Thanks,
Ian.
